Travelogue
I travel a lot as part of a film crew. As a backseat passenger, I watch the landscape fly by, frozen in a split second on my phone camera. The images are treated almost immediately, sometimes regretfully, and often too hastily. I love the power of the square frame, and I shoot with that in mind. The treatment is usually too much and gets simplified over time. I love borders, black and white, and film grain; they remind me of my film photography days. The images are moments that sometimes work, but remain personal glimpses that don't have to be liked by anyone. The surprises make it worthwhile. They are a mixture of moments, commentaries, and expressions that are both intentional and instant. A few are of places where we stop on the way, but that is also just a fleeting moment.
